Wizards playoff opener II

Steve Goff of the Washington Post notes on his blog that D.C. likely will play its home game in the first round on Nov. 1. That's a Thursday and the game will be on ESPN2. Here's the link:

I'm just speculating, but perhaps that would affect the Wizards' home game if they end up playing D.C. in the opening round. Maybe the league would want both games on a Thursday rather than doing a Saturday-Thursday combo.

If we end up playing DC in the first round, then we could still have our home game the weekend of the 27th-28th. The higher seed gets the second game, so Nov 1 would still work. I actually figured this is how it would work out anyway....ESPN wants to show DC, that's for sure.

To add to the above comment, I doubt they will want to show the KC home game on ESPN...they just don't like us, the crowd size, or the stadium. I don't see them showing our home game on ESPN Thursday. Very, very, very glad the Chiefs are not playing that weekend....it would be great to get one more Saturday night game so we can hopefully get a big crowd.
